200 Words Per Day For 10 Days

Have you ever been in a situation where you know you have to do something because it is a requirement for your visions to come true but you don’t do it? I am in a similar situation with writing. I know there is a prolific writer in me but I am starving him, preventing him from expressing himself. The ultimate reason is because I allow myself to be distracted by life and its circumstances. start again

There are about 5 different books in my personal library on the art of writing, and two books on both speed reading and creative thinking. I have signed up for a MOOC with the Open University in the UK. I have great ideas daily of books with content that will help its readers more than any other book that has been written on the subject, but I don’t consistently write. I always manage to talk myself out of it. Endlessly procrastinating, delaying the inevitable.

Have you ever found yourself in a similar situation? A situation where it is not that you don’t know what to do, you know what to do but I just won’t do it. What is the best remedy? The best remedy is a commitment to baby action steps in the right direction. When we allow the enormous proportions of the tasks ahead to intimidate us, we freeze. But like the sayings go: How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. How do you get out of debt? One dollar paid-off at a time.

From this day on and for the next 10 days, I will write daily 200 words or more on any of the following three subjects: communication, business and technology. I will not stop and not miss a day until the 10 days are over, then I will renew my commitment.

What baby steps can you start or resume taking today to help you get closer to the realization of your visions?
